A tragic loss to Nicki and the Passey family. In my contact with Spike I saw a devoted father and man happy to share his great sailing knowledge and skills. Tom, Bin, Yardley and Eamon 04/08/2010 22:27

Nicki, Jemima and Fox,thoughts are with you. Spikey,You lived life to the fullest and achieved what many of us only dream of. Your attitude was always "feet on the ground/same old Spike" and such a nice guy to be around! A role model for young and old yachties like. A life to be celebrated and admired! We hope ya up there smiling down on us! Mandy & Shane Hall 04/09/2010 20:53
Nick I know I don't need to tell you that Shane and I will be there for you, Mimes and Foxy whenever you need us. I love you all dearly and will particularly miss Pete's smile and cheekiness especially on Christmas Day when he sits there gives us and the rest of the family no end of stick. He is funny and always smiling when I see him and that is how I will always remember him. He shall be greatly missed by us all. Our love and support is with you always. If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane, We would walk all the way to Heaven, to bring you home again No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why Our hearts ache in sadness, and secret tears will flow What is meant to lose you, no one will ever know. Spithill Family 04/10/2010 05:24

I remember working 26 years ago at Anchor Marine in Sandringham and meeting Pete ( at the time he was known as Boy B through his North Sails days). He was always so friendly and always up for a chat. A gentleman that will never be forgotten. Smooth Sailing Maïté Samuel-Leduc 04/13/2010 07:02

Thanks for the great moments together Spike! From all your friends on djuice dragons. Your smile is going to be missed. Life can be so unfair. scott crawford 04/17/2010 20:34
Hey Spike, never did get you to bring Joe and I a gift for the grinders each day we went sailing but you were spot on when, after we asked each day, you would say you brought "wisdom, humour or intelligence.." Andrew Cape 04/21/2010 16:34
It will never be the same without Spike on the end of the sheet, outside the restaurant/bar having a smoke or later with a bloody nose after having an altercation with a foreigner (anyone not from Melbourne). An amazing person who was always positive during the worst of circumstances. Everyone who knew him will never forget him. Tom Swift 04/26/2010 12:48

Spike, I have many fond memories with you mate, you will be missed, always that cheeky smile on your face whether on the end of the sheet or with a buster in your hand standing outside the pub. 11/23/2010 06:22
I remember playing an America's Cup game together when we were kids. Written in GW Basic and running way to fast on my beast of a 286, you persisted and more times than not got that little white triangle of yours over the line first. You actually ended up in the America's Cup and so much more. Truly an inspiration Cuz. Marion Doriean 04/21/2012 23:29
Dear Pete another year has gone by and we miss you so much. Jemima and Fox are growing up fast and are wonderful kids. My heart breaks that you are not there to see and enjoy them. Love always. Leave a Reply |
